A recently acquired Marine / Boat building business based in Bahrain seeks a senior executive (effectively CEO but role title still to be determined) to run & restructure the business

Description

The Senior Executive will partner with new shareholders to restructure and turnaround the business with the immediate objective of returning the company to profitability, allowing it operate sustainability on a long-term basis.

The Senior Executive will create shareholder value by providing the vision, leadership, strategy, and general management skills necessary to turnaround the Company. This will include development and implementation of a strategic plan to advance the company's vision, mission, strategies and objectives and to promote revenue, efficiency, profitability, and growth as an organization.

The Senior Executive will work with shareholders to establish a new management team and lead them to:

* assess the Company's as-is situation;
* develop and, with support from the shareholders, implement an operational and financial turnaround plan;
* develop, manufacture and sell world-class boats;
* manage the marine product distribution operations;
* act as the key face of the company;
* develop new customers and channels to market;
* manage existing customer and channel partner relationships;
* develop strategic partnerships; and
* ensure that overall revenue and profit targets are achieved.

The Senior Executive will benefit from the strong brand value of the Company and the extensive relationships of shareholders to assist in a restructuring and turnaround. While all aspects of the Company's business require focus, proper process, technical and operational leadership will be key factors for the growth and profitability of the Company and its long term success.
* Working with the Board of Directors, the Senior Executive will fulfil all required corporate governance functions, will develop an open and communicative relationship with the Board providing informal and formal updates on Company strategy, performance, management direction and decisions etc.
* To act at all times with due skill, care diligence and integrity by working to the highest standards of business ethics by observing appropriate standards of market conduct and company policies at all times.
* Development, review and refinement of the Company's business strategy, and execution of that strategy to obtain a leading position in the marketplace;
* General oversight of all activities, manages the day-to-day operations, and assures a smoothly functioning, efficient organization;
* Ensure revenue growth is achieved in a responsible and profitable manner;
* Satisfy consumer needs, develop and nurture new and existing customers, partnerships, strategic alliances, and other market opportunities;
* Oversight of the Company, ensuring the company is well positioned in the public marketplace, and building relationships and credibility with all stakeholders
* Provide high-level strategic and tactical leadership to the Board and the management team;
* Keep the Board fully informed on the condition of the Company and on all the important factors influencing it. Identify problems and opportunities and address them; bring those which are appropriate to the Board and/or its committees; and, facilitates discussion and deliberation. Inform the Board and its committees about trends, issues, problems and activities in order to facilitate policy-making. Recommends policy positions;
* Be the primary spokesperson for the Company in all interactions with the press, the financial community and the public markets;
* Assure a work environment that recruits, retains, and supports quality management and staff;
* Motivate and build a high performing, innovative, and results-driven organization;
* Develop performance measurements and ensure these metrics are achieved;
* Oversee the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting and audit;
* Works with the Board to ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals; and
* Assure the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitors compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Job Offer
4,000 to 4,500 BD per month + performance bonus, medical, flight tickets

Requirements

For the Senior Executive position an undergraduate degree in business or engineering, (or a related field is ideal) as well as a minimum of (15) fifteen years of relevant (marine / boating) senior management position experience. Restructuring experience is a plus.

Able to live and work in Bahrain
