Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The purpose of this role is to devise and implement; in conjunction with the Head of Operations a marketing policy for the company; while exploring methods of enhancing the image of the company in the local and international communities.

Key Accountabilities

Marketing
- Manage the marketing budget in line with company policy.
- Review the marketing strategy of the company, and review plan on a regular basis to ensure its effectiveness
- Devise and implement a process for the company in terms of advertising, ensuring that the image of the company, promotional campaigns and key relationships are optimized at all times.
- Work with the Bahrain Airport Company in identifying locations where the potential for branding of company exists and where the placing of company branding in these locations has a benefit for both entities through the creation of additional sales .
- To ensure that all marketing materials are in line with the company policy; and are located in agreed locations at all times.
- Develop a promotional calendar on an annual basis placing the emphasis on events that are perceived as being important to our customers, and that also reflect Bahraini culture and hospitality.
- Set parameters for an annual tender for the supply of services in all aspects of the supply of POS / Promotional material.
- To oversee and manage the outsourcing of any marketing activities including representing the company in negotiations with potential marketing services providers; and setting of objectives and monitoring of these objectives with service providers.
- To review all sponsorship proposals received by the company and make recommendations to the senior management team about the level (if any) of sponsorship to be undertaken by the company in each instance.

E Marketing / E Business
- Manage the budgets assigned to these areas
- Devise and implement a cohesive e-marketing policy for the organization, taking into account the company policies relating to marketing.
- Review the current e-business offering in place at company on a regular basis and make recommendations where deemed necessary in relation to potential changes to the policy on this matter.
- Investigate the potential for the re-introduction of online retailing, taking into account costs and also the issues of previous sales and the importance of providing a secure interface for customers.

General Administration
- As a member of the management team of the company; lead by example at all times by extoling and exhibiting the core values of the company through their actions at all times when conducting their role on behalf of the company.
- Represent company when called upon to do so in any work related conference / meetings; and to make written submissions to the senior team on the details of these meetings.
- Work with other departments in relation to ensuring that company standards are maintained at all times in all areas; including the area for which they are responsible.
- To submit in a timely manner a written monthly report to the Head of Operations in an agreed format; along with any reports required.
- To create and monitor the usage of corporate documentation templates in use throughout the origanisation and its appointed agencies.
- Carry out tasks when required to do so.

Requirements

- Minimum education; university degree in a relevant field
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook
- AutoCAD experience would be deemed an advantage.
- Customer service qualification is desirable
- Minimum 5 years relevant Experience in a marketing / promotions field
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills
- Excellent PC skills; including design and office related programmes. Autocad experience is an advantage.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work together in a small close team
- Ability to understand the problems faced by our customers and take proactive action to resolve swiftly
