Mechanical Engineer

Job description / Role

- Reading Comprehension - Understanding the drawing and documents related to work.
- Operations Analysis (Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design).
- Technology Design (Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs).
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Requirements

University Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Specialist knowledge:
- The ability to solve problems by using mechanical engineering science, mathematics and I.T. knowledge
- The ability to acquire, use and critically evaluate experimental and other complex information.
- The ability to produce professional designs taking account of technical, environmental, ethical and commercial considerations.
- Use a range of numerical and mathematical skills to aid analysis and problem solving.
- The ability to communicate ideas and results clearly, concisely and effectively both orally, by giving presentations, and in writing, for instance in the production of technical reports.
- Planning and Decision Making (The ability to plan, prioritize and make judgement on the basis of a range of available data, to deadlines and under pressure).
