Job description / Role
Alizent is currently seeking a proactive and inventive MES Application Support Specialist to provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support of manufacturing execution related applications. The selected candidate will be asked to participate in different phases of projects related to MES solution.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide Level 1 and 2 applications support
• Manage helpdesk tickets in alignment with ITIL standards
• Provide an internal workaround while working on resolution
• Find root cause of critical incidents with impact on business
• Participate in the Pre-Operations verifications and commissioning phases activities
• Interacts with third-parties and teams to find solutions to issues and fix tickets
• Participate actively in the updating of application’s documentation linked to support activities
• Bring forward proposals in improving our organization and processes to:
• Increase Productivity
• Ensure 24/7 application support coverage. Team rotations for coverage is in place
• Other related Applications supports related tasks
Requirements
Must have:
The candidate must possess the following:
• University degree or college diploma (3 after high school) in information technology or computer science.
• 5-7 years of experience in the field of information systems, including 3-5 years as an expert in manufacturing / logistic applications.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server database systems
• Good knowledge of C Sharp and .NET development, debugging and troubleshooting
• Customer service orientation and good communications skills.
• Relevant experience in testing and integration of IT systems as well as troubleshooting and systems support activities.
• Capacity and sense of leadership and ability to work in a team.
• Good analytical skills to make business and function
Assets:
• Having the following would be great asset:
• Technical skills in PLC, SCADA, Historian and PI OSIsoft
• Familiar with scripting languages (PL/SQL and TSQL).
• Experience with the Google tools will be a plus (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Google+)
• Arabic Oral and written
• Familiar with SLA
• ITIL Certified
