About Company & Role Purpose
The MLRO and Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and managing related policies.
Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities And Activities
• Assist the Executive Director and Board on compliance matters.
• Design, manage, and administer the AML compliance program.
• Monitor and review compliance efforts, including risk assessments and internal reporting.
• Conduct periodic reviews of customer KYC and high-risk accounts.
• Ensure daily operations comply with policies and procedures.
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal suspicious transaction reports.
• Initiate investigations for non-compliance with procedures and laws.
• Provide compliance guidance to senior management and the Board.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable AML/CFT regulations.
• Communicate with regulatory authorities and maintain necessary reporting.
• Maintain staff training and awareness on AML/CFT matters.
• Keep records of compliance and AML/CFT reviews and reports.
• Oversee credit control and collections functions, including monitoring credit limits and collections.
• Manage any other relevant functions as assigned by management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in compliance within the financial industry preferred.
Skills
• Proficiency in compliance and financial software.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
