Project Manager - Infrastructure

Job description / Role

- Managing the construction contract and monitoring and supervision of all activities related to infrastructure and/or buildings work on behalf of the client in terms of time, cost and quality
- Overseeing all contractors submissions and approvals
- Managing the approval for payments/reimbursements
- Chairing of progress meetings
- Monitoring of work and programmes
- Quality and trade coordination
- Budget management
- Providing technical input regarding project and construction management during the design and development phase
- Ensures scope, design basis and objectives and best practice.
- Directs Construction Manager and Project Executive to monitor and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems
- Assisting Contract Department with development and implementation of contracting strategy, bids and selection of company bidders
- Assisting with contract negotiations and changes in contract value and project duration
- Monitors and controls all contractual commitments with Consultants/Contractors to ensure work is performed in accordance with specifications, codes and regulations, drawings and terms of contract
- Monitors and endorses the design and job specifications to determine and evaluate appropriate construction methods, determine cost effectiveness of plans and interprets the design and application of the adopted construction method
- Preparing and transmitting all site directions and instructions
- Ensuring correctness and completeness of as-built drawings, project contracts, budgets, project files.

Requirements

- Significant experience as a Project Manager on infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
- Should have a minimum of 8 years experience.
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to build relationships at all levels
