Job description / Role
- Design and implement a multi-tiered system of support for student wellbeing.
- Oversee the delivery of evidence-based social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum and mindfulness practices.
- Develop professional development opportunities for teachers and staff on student wellbeing topics.
- Collaborate with counselors across all school levels to align wellbeing programs with strategic educational goals.
- Work with school leadership to foster a positive and inclusive school climate.
- Integrate well being concepts into academic curricula alongside teachers.
- Coordinate with external service providers to enhance the school's wellbeing resources.
- Utilize data-driven insights for continuous improvement of wellbeing initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for school leadership on the impact of wellbeing initiatives.
- Advocate for the importance of student wellbeing in relation to academic success.
- Provide guidance on best practices for promoting student wellbeing.
- Teach IB Psychology to high school students according to the IB curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and assessments that enhance understanding of psychological concepts.
- Offer individualized support for Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE).
Requirements:
- Teacher with a degree and master's in relevant fields
- Teaching certification or licensure (if required by the school).
- Minimum of 1–3 years of teaching experience in psychology preferred.
- Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., IB, GCSE, A-Level, AP) is a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to connect psychological theories to real-life applications
