Job description / Role
A leading insurance broker is looking to hire Reinsurance Placement Officers to be based in Bahrain. The job responsibilities will be as follows:
- Participate in reinsurance treaties arrangements and negotiations with reinsurers.
- Carry out facultative business placement and acceptance.
- To liaise with reinsurers for quotations, placements and renewal terms.
- Ensure collection of all claims recoveries (and payments) pertaining to treaty and facultative business.
- Timely and accurate reconciliation of reinsurance accounts on a monthly basis, making necessary adjustments as appropriate.
- To collect, collate statistics and provide technical information to facilitate decision-making.
- Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have the following:
- Minimum of Bachelor degree.
- MUST have at least 2 year(s) of working experience in reinsurance underwriting or broking industry
- Solid understanding of reinsurance including underwriting, accounting, finance concepts
- Can work with minimal supervision and customer oriented
- Excellent communication skills (English).
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel)
