We are currently recruiting a Revenue Accountant on behalf of a leading international energy company with operations across the UK and Malaysia. The business is focused on delivering energy security and decarbonisation and continues to grow both organically and strategically. This opportunity is based in Bahrain and offers exposure to complex upstream revenue processes within a high-performing finance team.

Description
As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, sales invoicing, and compliance with IFRS. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating monthly and year-end closings in line with the group timetable
* Preparing and accounting for Crude Oil, Gas, and NGL sales invoices
* Calculating monthly crude prices and collaborating with the Marketing & Trading team on spot sales
* Managing ad-hoc and tariff-based sales invoicing
* Performing credit control activities and preparing aged receivables reports
* Ensuring accurate VAT treatment and liaising with the Tax team
* Reconciling revenue-related general ledger accounts and hydrocarbon inventory positions
* Uploading production data into SUN and supporting DD&A calculations
* Partnering with the Hydrocarbon Accounting team and Asset Managers for accurate reporting
* Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with IFRS 15

Requirements:
* University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Professionally qualified (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a revenue accounting or similar role
* Solid understanding of IFRS, especially IFRS 15
* Strong Excel skills and prior experience using accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or SUN
* Previous exposure to the oil & gas, energy, power, or related sectors preferred
* Experience working in or with the GCC region is essential
