Job description / Role
• Oversees the transportation and storage functions to control inventory management.
• Oversees management of all asphalt operations and facility maintenance, including expense control.
• Standardizes processes and procedures in accordance with accepted standards, develops SOP (standard operating procedures) and ensures consistency across the assigned region.
• Coordinates with terminal managers to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Manages and supports dispatch and other resources needed to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Responsible for purchasing of all products and equipment, excluding Asphalt product. Manage equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to control and reduce costs. Coordinate equipment hardware, software installation and training.
• Maintain daily control of project(s) at the asphalt plant while staying on budget. Must be able to prioritize and schedule projects as necessary, while maintaining daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with all facility permits and environmental regulations mandated by federal, state, or local governing bodies.
• Coordinates, directs and leads workers engaged in paving or construction activities. Assigns work to employees using material and worker requirements data.
• Regularly communicates follow up with maintenance staff about repair and maintenance needs on all major pieces of equipment on assigned jobs
Requirements
• Required 10 years of experience in Asphalt laying and related road works.
• Holds a degree in Civil Engineering
