About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Architect to lead architectural design and coordination across all project stages, from concept design through construction documentation and post-contract services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional design capabilities, and deep technical expertise. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and external stakeholders, and help cultivate the next generation of architectural talent within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Managerial & Leadership Duties

- Serve as the project’s Design Coordinator and Design Manager, leading architectural design teams and overseeing project execution.
- Develop, discuss, and finalize project schedules and prepare manpower allocation plans.
- Assign tasks to architects and CAD/Revit technicians, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standards.
- Lead coordination meetings, prepare minutes, track progress, and present monthly status reports.
- Monitor performance, time allocation, and development of junior team members.
- Conduct project progress meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Complete performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to the architectural team.

Design & Technical Responsibilities

- Prepare concept designs with supporting visualizations and lead development through schematic and detailed design stages.
- Ensure all architectural documentation is accurate, coordinated, and compliant with code and authority regulations.
- Manage multidisciplinary coordination and review responses to design comments, tender queries, and contractor RFIs.
- Act as the primary client contact for all design-related matters.
- Ensure quality control throughout project phases, reviewing all deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct independent design reviews and contribute to developing design manuals, standards, and best practices.
- Compile technical specifications, prepare monthly client reports, and support procurement processes for specialist consultants.
- Coordinate with authorities for permits, wayleaves, and submission approvals.
- Research materials, methods, and engineering disciplines to maintain industry-leading knowledge.

Skills & Competencies

- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and associated design platforms.
- Strong knowledge of structural and MEP engineering coordination.
- Expertise in architectural materials, finishes, and modern construction methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Strong ability to identify design flaws and propose practical solutions.
- Deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to design excellence.
- Ability to maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of codes, regulations, statutory authority requirements, and Fire & Life Safety principles.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles.
- Proficiency with project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Master’s Degree / Postgraduate qualification in Architecture (preferred).

Experience

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in architectural engineering or architectural design, including full project lifecycle execution.

Salary:
BHD 1,900 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
