Senior Engineer - EICA

Main Purpose of the Job:

Mott MacDonald is looking for a Senior Electrical/EICA (Electrical Instrumentation Control Automation) Engineer to support with the design delivery of a large water transmission and distribution network in Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

* Prepare system Control Philosophy and System Architecture for a series of water pumping stations and reservoirs.
* Prepare instrumentation specifications and Schedules
* Prepare Control System and Telemetry specifications including interface with existing systems
* Assists in defining the execution of engineering activities related to all instrumentation and controls and identify the need for any technical assistance
* Reviews/comments on electrical engineering control system drawings
* Coordinate and review the preparation of method statements related to EICA work
* Develop and upgrade existing standards
* Reviewing control systems design, material submissions and shop drawings related to the EICA
* Attend factory acceptance testing and ensure systems compliance to the contract
* Review the SCADA software programs, logic, operation & functionality
* Supervise the Central SCADA commissioning of the equipment including DCP, ETS and HVAC
* Plan and suggest strategic recommendations for site-wide EICA system for multiple systems

Requirements

Essential Candidate Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree in Electrical engineering degree from an accredited University with Professional Engineering Registration/Chartered Engineer in any recognised professional institution
* Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience, of which 5 years as a technical lead in a design management capacity
* Must have experience in managing, reviewing and approving of design documents and drawings associated EICA and communications network systems associated with water distribution stations and other associated process type buildings;
* A working knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
* VFD Replacement
* SAFT UPS Replacement
* DSC and Motorised Valve Replacement
* Inlet Control Valve Replacement
* Borewell Rehab
* Chlorination System Replacement
