Senior Manager - Compliance

Job Objective:
• The role holder is responsible for assisting with monitoring the Bank’s business compliance with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) requirements and regulations including those of international regulators, the bank’s internal policies and procedures.

Job Role:
• Diversified exposure including retail/commercial banking compliance experience
• Has performed monitoring and testing exercises
• Exposure in compliance risk assessments
• Support the development of a strong and consistent AML/CFT compliance culture across all areas of the bank’s operations.
• Assist in the review of investment progress reports and Private Placement Memorandums (PPM).
• Assist in the review of KYCs, transaction monitoring, and financial crime related correspondence.
• Assist in the reporting and reviewing of CRS and FATCA.
• Keep abreast of changes to regulatory and legislative rules and principles including attending lectures, seminars and training courses

Requirements

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in banking finance
• Preferably have ACAMs certification or CPA or CA
• 5 to 6 years of experience in field of banking compliance
• Key Relationships:
• Internally: Audit & Risk Committee, Management of the bank, internally formed committees, Internal Auditors and Heads of Departments - often done informally and daily as required.
• Externally: CBB, Stock Exchanges – regular formal contacts as required, External Auditors and other regulators including those of International Bodies as and when needed
