Senior Relationship Manager

Job description / Role

• Maintaining the existing relationship with correspondent banks and continuous communication in the various local and international official events
• Preparing of internal memo for granting facilities to correspondent banks with recommendations
• Establishing new banking relationships for the purposes of facilitating international trade, treasury inwards and outwards transactions
• Sharing of the bank’s recent financial statements & developments with local and international
• Negotiate the correspondent banks to improve their terms of and Conditions, commissions and expenses, credit limits granted to the bank and enhancing of the volume of transactions
• Continuous awareness of international economic and political developments news and international rating of Financial institutions, making the necessary circulars
• Securing training opportunities – on Job Training – with correspondent banks & other FI.
• Evaluate the profitability of the bank and the benefit derived from dealing with institutions: the volume of transactions, the volume of commissions collected, the smoothness and speed of dealing, the turnover of the credit limits granted
• To prepare at least an annual study of the credit limits granted and the terms and conditions applied
• Execution of financial analysis for the financial statements of banks and other financial institutions
• Optimally managing the granted credit limits to enable achievement of the greatest benefit to the bank
• Obtaining the legal and Shariah opinions, in addition to the approval of the risk & related department/s for all agreements and contracts
• Fulfill all necessary KYC requirements of financial institutions
• Follow-up with the Compliance Department regarding the foreign and local banks KYC & AM requirements.
• Maintaining organized and updated files of all correspondent relations with institutions and preparing brief reports
• Arrangement for obtaining online account services (via the internet)
• Learn about new banking services provided by financial institutions
• Communication with treasury department, corporate & retail to identify the needs that can be provided and arrange for obtaining from financial institutions
• Communication with local banks and obtaining annual reports
• Financial analysis and update annually
• Drafting agreements upon needs, taking the necessary approvals and sending them to correspondents banks (Remittances agreements, investment deposits, financing, supplying cash banknotes... etc.)
• Arrangement Statistics and Research Department for Preparing the study of the bank’s market share in Sudan and FI booklet
• Any other tasks

• Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, banking or IT
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to set and achieve objectives
• Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities effectively

• Ability to analyze and utilize information for decision-making
• Strong time management skills
