The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales performance, staff management, and customer service. This role ensures that the store meets sales objectives while providing excellent service and maintaining brand standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
General
• Meet or exceed sales objectives in alignment with company targets.
• Manage retail discounts and promotions within established parameters.
• Demonstrate advanced selling skills and train staff on effective sales techniques.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory management to minimize stockouts.
• Maintain high standards of store upkeep and visual merchandising.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuity.
• Analyze business performance and assess customer requirements through CRM initiatives.
• Lead and develop a cohesive team by supervising staff, providing coaching, and appraising job performance.
• Act as a liaison with the head office, providing structured feedback for continuous improvement.
• Gather and share market intelligence to inform store strategies.
Requirements:
BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in retail management or a similar role.
• Comprehensive understanding of sales strategies and retail operations.
Skills
• In-depth knowledge of products and brands within the store.
• Strong understanding of competing brands and market trends.
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to foster lasting client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
