Technical Manager – Ready Mix

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading building materials supplier, is seeking an experienced Technical & Operations Manager to join their team in Bahrain, one of the most relaxed Gulf States. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing readymix concrete production, technical operations, quality management, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Team Development – Manage, train, and develop all reporting staff while ensuring clear communication and process efficiency.
• Operational Oversight – Oversee supply chain, production, transport, concrete pumping, and delivery scheduling to meet customer order requirements.
• Technical & Quality Management – Lead the RMC Technical Department and central laboratory, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and company third-party accreditation. Oversee mix designs, raw material assessments, and technical solutions.
• Cost & Performance Management – Control departmental costs and ensure effective use of plant, equipment, and transport.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, government bodies, and suppliers, ensuring the company’s strong reputation.
• Health & Safety Compliance – Enforce HSE regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
• ISO & Quality Systems – Act as the Quality Management Representative, managing the ISO Quality Management System and driving continuous improvements in product and service standards.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and influence at all levels.
• A hands-on manager who leads by example.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in ready-mix concrete production, technical management, and ISO quality assurance.
• Previous experience working in the Middle East would be advantageous, but is not a prerequisite.
