Employment: Full Time

The job holder will be responsible, under the direction of the MD, Corporate Communications and in partnership with the firms global PR agency network, for implementing the digital platform for the firm in order to achieve the corporate communication's strategy and plan to help it achieve its business objectives and strengthen its reputation.

Description
* Contributing to the development of global and regional communications strategies and plans, objectives and key messages;
* Making sure that all news announcements have a digital footprint (Twitter feed, LinkedIn post, infographics and possibly videos).
* To direct media relations and build media relationships in support of the business objectives, including financial, international and regional/local media, English and Arabic.
* Working with the global Corporate Communications team to align and communicate effectively the firms key messages to its target audiences in the region via multiple channels, mainly media and digital ones.
* Engaging directly with key media, primarily local and regional business and financial journalists, to inform and educate about the firm, its strategy and successes; to build and strengthen relationships so that the news and messages are listened to and covered;
* Ensuring that all communications - internally and externally - are clear, consistent, relevant and culturally appropriate;
* Supporting the business with strategic, professional communications advice and support, optimising communications of all types and channels, including written, spoken and events;
* Contribute to managing communications agency/ies to ensure effective delivery of world-class communications at a competitive cost;
* Designing and producing effective communications materials, in particular press releases, media material, newsletters, Annual Report as required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a proven track record working as part of an in-house Corporate Communications team. Alternatively, the candidate may have built a career at one of the leading global corporate communications/ PR firms, and should have business experience at a regional level. An understanding of working across different regions and cultures is essential, and an established network of contacts, particularly in the media, is desirable.

Degree holder from a reputable university with at least 5 - 7 years of experience corporate communication. A 'natural communicator' with world-class skills and presentation, written and verbal; direct and courageous; articulate, with a strong intellect and ability to make things happen.

Experience in digital communications strategy and implementation, able to choose between a wide range of communications programmes and tools to achieve business objectives.

Experience managing communications to a diverse range of stakeholders, effectively targeting and delivering communications appropriate to each.

Experience in managing international PR agencies; remote experience especially valuable.
