Job description / Role
CLIENT
Linum Consult’s client are an international firm well-established in Africa. They are urgently seeking a bilingual Aftermarket Manager specialised in construction & mining equipment to be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the local after-sales department. This position will be based in Burkina Faso.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing the sales of parts and service in your assigned territory, and being responsible for reaching sales targets in terms of turnover and gross margins
• Monitoring and analysing customer satisfaction and taking the appropriate corrective actions
• Participating in negotiations with customers for contracts, tenders, or any complaints
• Focusing on being a solution provider and having a supporting role in the sale of equipment
• Monitoring all Product Support and Warranty activities, implementing improvements for tools, processes, etc. where needed
• Contributing to the development of standard processes and procedures, KPIs and guidelines, and ensuring implementation at Regional Management level
• Ensuring that resources are applied where needed, including personnel, tools, IT solutions, and equipment management
• Guiding and coaching your team and junior staff as per company values
Requirements
PROFILE
• Master’s degree in a Mechanical or Engineering subject is essential
• At least 7 years’ experience in a managerial role, related to after-sales processes, ideally from a construction or mining equipment dealer background
• Excellent understanding of the African markets
• Demonstrable technical knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
• Fluency in both French and English
• A history of working with ERP (e.g. SAP) would be preferred
