Maintenance Manager (Mining Equipment) - West Africa
Linum Consult's client is an international firm well established in Africa. They are urgently looking for a Maintenance Manager specialised in mining equipment to oversee their sites across Western Africa.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing the Fleet Managers and ensuring the fleet is available at all times
• Ensuring the company’s Maintenance Systems are followed without deviation
• Carrying out monthly inspections of all equipment
• Managing the Planner, ensuring the planning of maintenance is accurate and up to date
• Managing the Financial Systems; compiling monthly budgets based on equipment inspections and backlog work
• Managing the Warehouse, Ordering, Logistics, and current Stock
• Ensuring the HSE policies and procedures are applied rigidly and with zero tolerance
• Carrying out HSE inspections and chairing meetings to ensure Health & Safety practices are adhered to; highlighting any problem areas
• Submitting frequent reports to senior staff
• Maintaining and improving client relationships
Requirements
• 10 years in a similar position, with at least 5 years in a management role
• Background of working in the equipment distribution sector with mining companies in Africa or as an expatriate is essential
• Strong experience of people management and operations
• Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
