Company:

Top 5 Main Contractor responsible for successfully delivering iconic building and infrastructure projects across Canada with a turnover in excess of C$3 billion.

Position:

• This is an important position with one of the region’s leading contractors who are engaged on a number of large scale projects throughout Vancouver and the British Columbia area.
• The company is looking to appoint a Commercial Director who will be involved in projects from pre-construction through to handover.
• This is a new role for the group and has come about due to the changing market conditions and the considerable volume of work being tendered for and awarded.
• Projects being targeted are typically up to C$500m in value and include hospitals, education, commercial and transportation. Contract types are mainly construction management and design and build.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Preferably Degree or Diploma qualified in relevant discipline.
• Experience working for Tier 1 main contractors as a Commercial Director / Commercial Manager on large design and build construction projects.
• Previous experience working in Canada or Internationally would be an advantage, although this is not a pre-requisite.
