Employment: Full Time

Client:
Linum Consult’s client is a major consultancy, currently seeking a Cost Consultant from a Real Estate background to join their team in Ottawa, Canada.

Responsibilities:
• Preparing construction cost estimate reports for commercial real estate projects
• Assisting with the estimating and cost planning activities, as well as presenting the final cost estimate
• Helping to develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients
• Recording value engineering and life cycle costing
• Validating post-contract cost changes and referring any major changes to the line manager
• Assisting with feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Interfacing with clients and other consultants at all stages of the projects
• Assisting with research related to construction market conditions within Canada

Requirements

Profile:
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a similar subject from a recognised university
• At least 2 years’ experience of delivering pre-construction and post-contract construction cost services
• Membership to a relevant professional organisation, such as CIQS or RICS would be preferred
• The right to live and work in Canada
