Job description / Role

Client:
Linum Consult’s client is a major consultancy, currently seeking a Estimator from a Civil Engineering and Infrastructure background to join their team in Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities:
• Managing the development of cost estimates for projects from concept through to execution
• Analyzing tender returns to ensure the client receives value for money
• Engaging in value engineering discussions to identify the best solutions available for the client
• Providing life cycle cost and sustainability advice
• Benchmarking for validation and target-setting on major projects
• Liaising with the client and other consultants

Requirements

Profile:
• Degree qualification in Construction Management or a similar subject from a recognized university
• 5 years’ experience in a cost estimating position
• Ideally have a membership to a relevant professional organisation, such as CIQS or RICS
• Proficiency in using cost estimating tools and MS Office software
• The right to live and work in Canada
