Marine Surveyor

Job description / Role

• Classification surveys of ships - new buildings and ships in service;
• Surveying various types of maritime equipment, machinery and cargo-handling equipment;
• Reporting, communication and cooperation with Clients, Colleagues and Authorities;
• Contribute towards further development and growth
• Produce accurate and concise reports;
• Deal with Clients' queries on a daily basis

Requirements

• 10 years professional experience as a class surveyor, owner superintendent, shipyard quality control inspector or Chief Engineer is requested
• Previous experience as a surveyor of Classification Societies would be an advantage.
• Technical/Maritime education
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems of ships.
• Good Knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems of ships and familiarity with International conventions ( SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.) and IMO code
