Client:
Linum Consult’s client is a major consultancy, currently seeking a Senior Cost Controller from a Civil Engineering and Infrastructure background to join their team in Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities:
• Implementing, administering, and maintaining the cost control system and procedures to track project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts for medium-sized projects
• Preparing and reviewing cost estimates
• Providing cost information to support decisions and alternative selections
• Managing the cost reports and providing regular updates on the financial position
• Managing the development, validation, and maintenance of the project schedule
• Developing reporting tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis including evaluation of earned value
• Building intricate spreadsheets to enable fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets

Requirements

Profile:
• Degree qualification in Construction Management or a similar subject from a recognized university
• 10 years’ experience of cost control
• Membership to a relevant professional organisation, such as CIQS, RICS, and/or AACEI
• Strong understanding and demonstrable history of using MS Office software
• The right to live and work in Canada
