Employment: Full Time

GV Immigration Services is hiring VP- HR position for one of its esteemed client from logistic and supply chain industry.

Key Result Areas Include the following:

• Provide full-cycle expertise and hands-on ownership of HR processes from talent acquisition, hiring and on-boarding through to off-boarding and exit interview.
• Provide leadership to the senior and extended management team regarding HR processes and general leadership planning.
• Responsible for creating and driving effective employee and labour relations, administration of and compliance with Collective Agreements and oversight of the collective bargaining process.
• Advise and lead the implementation of legislation, policies, processes and, where relevant, collective agreements.
• Provide oversight and direction to ensure the compensation philosophy and guidelines are adhered to consistently for all job offers and wage increases.
• Provide analysis and recommendations informed by the analysis of turnover and retention data.
• Ensure the integrity of employee data is respected, secured, and stored appropriately.
• Coach and guide team members, people managers and staff regarding employee relations and the application and interpretation of policies, procedures, employment legislation and applicable union agreements.
• Consistently review, re-design and maintain best practices related to all HR functions.
• Update and align job descriptions and conduct internal parity recommendations to ensure appropriateness and equity through the established job evaluation process.
• Work collaboratively with the AVP, Employee Experience to identify and develop leaders and subject matter experts to deliver training.
• Develop meaningful HR metrics, including dashboards to monitor the effectiveness of transformation projects and recommend improvements or other interventions as required.
• Responsible for oversight and direction on case management for non-occupational leaves, including medical leaves, Long-Term Disability (LTD) and other leaves related to illness or injury.
• Provide advice and direction to HR Business partners regarding job demands/accommodation requests and identify suitable work while adhering to the essential duties.
• Participate in job evaluation committee as required, identify positions requiring evaluation and support the development of job descriptions.
• Work in partnership Employee Experience and CHRO to implement change readiness assessment processes and develop change management plans to support transformation, consistent with the strategic plan.


**Employer will support with LMIA and Visa process for right candidate.

Salary:
USD 5,500 to 7,500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Requirements:
• University degree in human resources, business administration or related field (Masters level an asset).
• Relevant professional designation such as CHRL or CHRP strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of current legislation and HR practices.
• Competent working knowledge of and experience with applicable employment and labour legislation including but not limited to Employment Standards, Human Rights, and AODA.
• Strong background in Microsoft applications and relevant HRIS.
• Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation.

Experience Required:
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership experience (preferably in a unionized environment), providing HR advice and coaching in the areas of HR administration, talent acquisition, total rewards, HRIS and reporting, policy development and recognition.
• Working knowledge of employment standards and legislation across the provinces.

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of delivery of high performing HR services related to talent acquisition, employee and labour relations, compensation and benefits programs and workforce and succession planning.
• Previous experience in a 24/7 environment is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative attraction, recruitment and retention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to provide pragmatic business solutions to complex human resource issues in a dynamic, fast- paced, service excellence environment.
• Demonstrated exceptional leadership, be an authentic, trusted, credible leader and business partner capable of helping to achieve key strategic objectives and outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and act as a change catalyst for process improvement to ensure efficient and effective best practice standards
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and apply quantitative measures to evaluate outcomes, program efficiency and process improvements.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written) with a demonstrated ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
• Strong business acumen and application of critical thinking skills to manage complex issues.
• Results focused and credible, effective working across multiple departments and managing competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills to effectively deal with multiple stakeholders and confidential/sensitive information.
• Passion for organization, innovation and maintaining knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
