Accounting Lecturer

Job description / Role

My client is looking for an AAT qualified Lecturer in their College on the edge of Chengdu, China. They are looking for an experienced Lecturer to inspire and engage in the delivery of high quality teaching.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

To contribute to teaching across Accountancy related programmes including (but not limited to):

* The client Joint Programme
* AAT Levels 2-4
* Short courses in Book Keeping and Computerised Accounts
* A Level Accounting

To act as Programme Coordinator for specific courses as required by the Head of Learning and Skills

To support the department with quality assurance activities.

To contribute to the development of specialist disciplines, helping to maximise success rates and raise recruitment.

To promote the development of English and maths skills within programmes of study.

To carry out the role of a Personal Tutor as required.

To contribute to the development of new programmes.

To liaise with awarding bodies and external examiners / verifiers.

To contribute to industry engagement and the development of work related learning experiences

To assist with the operational and commercial development of the School / College.

To liaise with schools, parents, universities and / or employers as appropriate, to optimise student progression.

To contribute to the process of programmes marketing and the recruitment and selection of stu

To contribute to the student enrichment programme.

To participate in any cross-college / working party groups as from time to time may be established.

To accept responsibility for the implementation of the College's Equality and Diversity policy throughout all personal contacts in the College and within this area of responsibility.

To maintain professional standards and expertise by undertaking relevant professional development.

To maintain quality standards appropriate to the post.

To conform with the Health and Safety requirements relevant to the post.

To be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children wherever applicable within the role of Lecturer in China / UK..

Requirements

Position requirements:

* AAT qualification
* Degree and or masters in accounting or related fields of study
* Has a record of work experience in the industry for at least 3 years
* At least 3 years teaching experience
* Excellent English Language Skills - Native English Speaker Desirable
* IELTS of above 7 if Non-Native English Speaker
