Launching Girder Manager

Job description / Role

My client is a leading international contractor who specialise in the construction off long span precast concrete viaducts and have projects all over the world. They are currently working on a project in Columbia and are looking to recruit a launching girder manager. The role will involve;

- Erection and maintenance work or overhead launching gantry;
- Overall responsibility for viaduct erection using launching girders;
- Reviewing method statements relating to viaduct erection.
- Span erection, installation and alignment, post tensioning, bearing installation.
- Supervision during construction.
- Managing HSE issues.

Requirements

Candidates should have a degree in mechanical engineering or an associated subject and should have proven track record in erection and installation of heavy structures like viaducts, launching gantries, overhead gantries and bridges. Candidates should have experience in maintenance of heavy lifting equipment and construction equipment and should be able to read and write fluently in English
