The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. Our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries and increase appreciation of the UK's creative ideas and achievements. In the Middle East, the British Council teaching centre provides face-to-face English Language teaching. The majority of students are young learners and young adults in the 18 - 35 age range. Teaching centre activity forms a key part of the British Council' strategy and supports our wider work in English, in the region.
