Al-Yamamah College was authorized in May 2001 by the Ministry of Higher Education of Saudi Arabia to provide academic programs in business administration and information systems. Authorized under the Private Colleges Act, which gives support to the private sector to establish higher education institutions, and after more than two years of intensive planning, Al-Yamamah College opens its doors to the public in September 2004. Built at a total cost of 250 million Saudi Riyals (approx. 66 million US dollars) as modern facility, the Al-Yamamah College campus is designed to provide a state-of-the-art instruction and an excellent educational environment. Comparable intellectual capital has also been invested in designing a new, modern institution that focuses on quality, integrity, fairness, and progressive yet practical education.
