General Trading Company (GTC) was established on December 14, 1959 and has since then developed to become one of the leading companies in Kuwait, actively engaged in the field of Trading, Contracting, Catering, Computer Information Systems and Kitchen Equipments in addition to the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Maintenance works as well as the other different Commercial lines. Likewise, GTC is one of the specialized firms that approved by the authorities concerned in Kuwait for the supply of the technical and administrative manpower that might be required by the state different ministries and institutions.

General Trading Company is an approved Tenderer, Supplier and Contractor in various activities to the Kuwait Government, Oil Companies and Private Sector in Kuwait and other Arabian Gulf countries. At the moment the Company employees more than 2000 employees whose involved in carrying out the various contracts that had been awarded to the company by the different authorities in the country such as the Ministries of Finances, Electricity and Water, Public works, Health, Education, Interior, Defense, Foreign Affairs, Justice etc.
