Horoof is an innovative and research based language center in Dubai that was founded to serve education of children in the Arabic language and culture. In its current phase, it offers an after-school program in learning Arabic as a second language to Arab children ages 4-15 years old. The first goal of this program is to develop the curriculum and learning materials for learning Arabic as a second language that are well researched, creative, relevant, interactive and integrated. The second goal of this program is to develop a teacher training program that supports the Arabic language teacher to adopt best parctices in education and to facilitate the learning of Arabic as a second language.
