Wilshire Foods was established in November 2007 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by Mohamed Kamal and Navin Shewkramani with the aspiration to become a leading operator of non-alcoholic Food and Beverage outlets. The company commenced operations as a franchisee of the international brand SUBWAY with its first outlet commencing operations in March 2008 in Muroor Street.

The Wilshire Foods growth model is based on the strategic initiative to grow through “Multiple locations of multiple brands”. That is to grow the business by acquiring new locations for existing brands and add new brands to the portfolio of the business and subsequently growing the new brands in the same manner.
