Description

Egypt Education Platform is seeking a meticulous and experienced accounting supervisor to join our finance team in one of our schools (Westview International Language School). The accounting supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring that financial records are accurate and comply with established regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the accounting team, providing training and support to team members.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts by analyzing financial data.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Monitor and enforce accounting policies and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of operations.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and interact with stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
