Salary range: £41,147 - £58,812 or £62,077 - £65,990 per annum plus management allowance 2 of £7,071 and special schools allowance of £4,227

The States of Guernsey are looking for an innovative and dynamic Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCO) with experience of successfully enabling children and young people to fulfil their potential, required with effect from 1st January.

Les Voies School is a specialist educational provision for students with significant social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, many of whom have involvement from other agencies, such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Social Services and the Child, Youth and Community Tribunal.

This post would suit a primary or secondary trained teacher.

The successful candidate will inspire and lead, taking a leading role in the monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing the curriculum and provision in order to promote high standards of achievement, attainment, and progress for all learners across the school, and be able to demonstrate impact.

The post holder will also lead and manage the development of whole school initiatives based upon best practice.

This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme.

For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a relocation package is offered to help with the cost of moving to the island. This relocation package offers different solutions depending on an individual’s circumstances.

This role offers off-island candidates an eight-year long term employment permit. This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the island in any sector. There are also good schools on island for those candidates looking to bring their families with them.
