• Ceramic wall and floor tiles
• Façade cladding, glazing systems, and architectural aluminum products
• Precast concrete products and architectural elements
• Office and home furniture and interior décor products

Job purpose

To lead the details process and review the electrical shop drawings from start to finish for all electrical systems, ensuring that all shop drawings meet client requirements, are safe and functional, and overseeing the development of detailed construction plans using the Revit program.

Key accountability areas

• Product design and development: Developing and creating or reviewing the shop drawings of electrical components and systems based on client requirements, including orthographic, isometric, and exploded views, using Revit.
• Electrical systems design: To be an expert in electrical systems for buildings such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and control systems.
• Compliance and regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Building Code (IBC).
• Collaboration: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including senior engineers, architects, contractors, and clients, to coordinate electrical design activities.
• Quality control: Review and verify the accuracy of electrical drawings to ensure they meet project requirements and adhere to quality standards.
• Problem-solving: Identify and resolve technical issues or discrepancies in electrical designs, working closely with the engineering team as needed.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors to convey technical information and address any concerns related to electrical drawings.
• Project coordination: Assist in project coordination by providing timely updates on the status of electrical drawings and collaborating with other team members to meet project deadlines.
• Continuous improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in electrical design. Seek opportunities to improve design processes, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Role accountability

• BIM modeling and analysis: Create or review detailed shop drawings using the Revit program.
• Accuracy and precision: Ensure accuracy and precision in all technical drawings, adhering to industry standards and specifications to produce drawings that are reliable and consistent.
• Interpretation of specifications: Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documents accurately to translate them into detailed drawings.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensure that shop drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations by conducting research, staying updated on regulatory changes, and coordinating with regulatory bodies for certification and approval processes.
• Communication and collaboration: Effectively communicate with engineers and designers to clarify requirements, address issues, and ensure alignment throughout the design process.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during the detailed process.
• Drafting electrical plans: Create detailed electrical drawings, plans, and diagrams using Revit software. Accurately represent the layout of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, outlets, switches, and other components.
• Interpreting specifications: Review technical specifications and design documents to understand project requirements and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Ensuring accuracy: Check drawings for accuracy and completeness, including dimensions, labels, and symbols. Identify and correct errors or discrepancies in drawings to maintain quality standards.
• Updating drawings: Revise and update electrical drawings as needed to reflect changes in design and specifications.
• Maintaining documentation: Organize and maintain a library of electrical drawings, documents, and related project files.
• Adhering to safety standards: Ensure that electrical drawings comply with relevant safety regulations and building codes.
• Meeting deadlines: Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and milestones, manage workload effectively, and communicate any potential delays or challenges to project managers.
• Team leadership: Manage or mentor junior engineers and staff, guiding them in technical tasks and ensuring their professional growth.

Academic qualification

Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
