Your roles and responsibilities
As a member of the School Leadership Team (SLT), the Co-Principalu2019s role is to work together with their Co-Principal partner and the School Business Manager to provide leadership in respect of the academic provisions of the school, in order to create conditions which are safe and harmonious, and in which high-quality teaching and learning take place while ensuring that the school will continue to improve and strive for excellence, within the approved school budget.
You are responsible for providing the vision and leadership for the school in line with the organizationu2019s overall vision, mission, principles and practices; creating, maintaining and developing the conditions which enable students and teachers to achieve effective learning so that the schoolu2019s aims and objectives are implemented in accordance with the policies of the organization and national educational strategy requirements.
You are passionate about our mission, vision, what we stand for and you are eager to share our core values with others.
You are a leader who loves developing others and helping your team members excel in their roles.
Your relevant experience and competencies
As Yew Chung and Yew Wah School Education Network Co-Principals (for pipelining purpose) for current or future locations of schools, you will possess the following qualities:
- Proven track record in a principal role in an inclusive and multi-cultural school environment where high achievement standards are set for students supported by a culture of high expectation and family engagement;
- Possess a global mindset, growth mindset and future orientation that are manifested in the shared vision, policies and practices, pedagogy and all aspects of operations of a school;
- Effective leadership, relationship and team building and communication (in both English and/or Chinese, spoken and written) in the context relevant to the constituent groups (including government bodies, teachers and leaders in the school, parent and student groups) with the objectives to facilitate engagement, inspire actions and positive changes, build trust and alliances;
- Possess agility and creative problem-solving abilities to navigate through complex issues arising from the changing education landscape;
- Driven and persistent in the delivery of quality results and holding self and others accountable for the results;
- Good appreciation and understanding in one or a combination of IB, A-level, AP, DSE and/or national curriculum and its related pathways to tertiary education overseas, in Mainland China and Hong Kong, SAR.
Note: For those with lesser relevant experience, you may be considered for a less senior role.
