Job description

Raya Smart Building, a subsidiary of Raya Holding for Financial Investments, is hiring a collection accountant.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor and manage the accounts receivable aging report to identify and prioritize overdue accounts for collection efforts
  • Initiate and maintain professional communication with clients regarding outstanding invoices, systematically following up to ensure timely payment
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date records of all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements
  • Review, interpret, and organize contracts to validate billing terms and ensure alignment with financial records; liaise with the finance team for clarification and coordination
  • Collaborate effectively with the finance team and other relevant departments to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, customer inquiries, and payment disputes in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure all collection activities strictly comply with company policies, relevant legal regulations, and industry best practices
  • Communicate with clients to request and collect withholding tax (WHT) certificates and other relevant financial documentation as required
  • Actively participate in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of receivables management and collection procedures
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by performing detailed reconciliations of accounts receivable, preparing necessary reports, and assisting with audit requirements
  • Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities, accounts receivable status, and potential bad debts to management

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Proven experience in a collection, accounts receivable, or similar financial role

Education:

Accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
