Consultant Risk Engineer

Are you interested in being a consulting partner to some of the world’s best-known companies, advising them how to protect their facilities against risks? With our ongoing growth, we’re looking for an experienced engineer to join our Risk Service team, based in Egypt.

Working independently from your home office, you’ll help our clients make informed decisions about, and manage the threat of fire, explosions, process breakdowns, natural hazards and more. It’s about dealing with real people in real situations – and quickly seeing the impact of your professional advice. You could be evaluating a fire exposure at any type of manufacturing plant, or evaluating a sprinkler system in a warehouse that will protect it from fire and the potential disruption to the supply chain. Or you could be providing guidance on planned maintenance, safety and control devices, or new builds or site modifications.

We’ll support you all the way, both to deliver exceptional service to our clients and to benefit from our long-term career opportunities. You’ll start with a structured training programme including six months training in the UK, self-study, e-based assessment, mentoring and practical courses at our training facilities in the US.

Requirements

We welcome applications from all candidates with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, ideally in process or chemical engineering, although we’re happy to consider other disciplines such as construction and building, fire, civil or mechanical engineering.

This role offers great opportunities to travel. The ability to analyse and solve problems is important, and you’ll also need excellent communication and influencing skills. Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is also essential.
