Roles and Responsibilities

- Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc.
- Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.
- Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and GE policy, provides technical support to the finance and operations community, assists the sales and commercial teams with contractual support, drives accounting compliance with the operations teams.
- Responsible for the application of IFRS standards and local statutory standards.
- Responsible to ensure all statutory regulatory filings are completed timely, efficiently and in compliance with the country regulatory requirements.
- Handles all wing-to-wing tax reporting and tax accounting processes including forecasting, tax provision, compliance and settlement.
- A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues within commercial and operational organizations.
- Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.

- Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results.

Required Qualifications

- Graduate BA/BSc or MBA in finance with strong track record in progressive accounting & finance experience including developing cash forecasts and leading business / finance reviews
- Demonstrates proficiency in U.S. GAAP, local GAAP and authoritative accounting literature
- Fluent in English and Arabic, written and spoken

Desired Characteristics

- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CFA) & demonstrated experience and understanding of Accounting Principles and Controllership
- Demonstrates proficiency in U.S. GAAP, local GAAP and authoritative accounting literature
