Job description
Carry out cost control transactions.
Follow the instructions given by the Finance Controller.
Control the storage house requests as well as the kitchen and F&B requests and stocks.
Ensure that the facility regulations are followed for purchasing, acceptance of goods, and storage.
Share information with management about planning and controls related to the F&B department and kitchen section.
Control the end-of-month inventories and enter them into the system.
Inspect the main storage houses.
Prepare accounting information related to F&B and carry out their recognition.
Present financial and statistical data to seniors at certain intervals.
Control all requests and adjust the quantities requested to keep stocks at minimum levels.
Control prices for requests placed. Ensure that goods are accepted in accordance with the instructions, controlling their quantity, quality, and prices. Control whether goods have been delivered to the related departments or storage houses in return for a signed document.
Review and control all invoices. Check whether the quantities and prices match with the order list.
Prepare inventory lists for all the food and beverages in stock and prepare monthly storage house lists.
Control the end-of-month counts in the storage houses.
Control the end-of-month food and beverage counts and enter them into the system.
Coordinate and control all inventory work at the end of the month, make corrections, and prepare consumption reports. Get the reports approved by the Finance Controller and carry out their recognition.
Play a role in identifying and continuously updating the purchasing conditions. Check whether these are applied. Search for lower prices in the market.
Prepare financial and statistical results in line with the report programme.
Give training related to cost control.
Carry out the end-of-month and end-of-year transactions on the MC programme used for cost control, storage houses, goods acceptance, and purchasing, enter new identifications and, if needed, work in coordination with the IT department and the vendor to upload new reports to the system.
Diligently perform the above-mentioned duties. As an F&B Controller, play a positive and creative role in the overall functioning of the F&B Department. Contribute to activities aimed at increasing profitability.
Predict that all activities and all purchased equipment and belongings may impact the environment. Join all activities organized to protect biological diversity and share responsibilities. Increase environmental knowledge and carry out necessary trainings. Provide minimum consumption of currently used items and equipment (paper, printed materials, etc.).
Implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings to save energy inside the facility. Carry on implementing decisions taken for saving energy. Predict effects of environment and energy efficiency on purchased equipment.
Implement responsibilities to eliminate and collect waste properly, reduce environmental pollution, and minimize harmful effects on the environment.
Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management and food safety management systems implemented at the facilities.
Qualifications
- Education: 4-year bachelor's degree
- Experience: At least 2 years of work experience after associate degree. Work experience not required for undergraduate degrees.
- Foreign language: At least intermediate level English.
- Computer literacy: MS Office applications, MC knowledge.
- Special qualifications: Knowledge about the legislation, practices, and systems in the related field. Ability to perform several correlated actions concerning more than one group of actions aimed at targets. Ability to perform specific sequential activities related to each other.
