Role Summary:

The Cost Manager will be the primary contact responsible for the whole Job Cost Estimate (JCE) process to ensure enhanced efficiency & productivity. The principal focus will be to generate competitive JCEs while working with the various functions to ensure cost estimate accuracy, on time delivery and productivity.

Essential Responsibilities:

The essential Responsibilities of the Cost Manager are:

- Support operations team, sales team, and commercial team as primary contact for projects costing estimates
- Support the functions in generating JCEs for services & repair projects this would include CM&U type projects
- Ensure Fulfillment Managers accept & approve JCEs prior to release to the Commercial Team
- Meet all need dates on estimate delivers to ensure on-time proposal delivery by ITO team
- Track JCE on-time delivery and store JCE in specified repository
- Participate in applicable Outage Readiness Reviews and Repair Readiness Reviews to ensure cost estimates are fully captured by execution team
- Support R2 discussions to address costing specific items for deal approvals
- Coordinate with Commercial Manager & Service Manager to identify required information from site to ensure estimate accuracy
- Request as needed field service, repair service, affiliate rates for estimate generation
- Work with sourcing to obtain as needed rates
- Collaborate with JCE Developer peers to support needs and share expertise
- Take part in post outage review to review as estimate / as executed results; capture variance drivers, corrective actions, best practices & lessons learned
- Support any extra work authorization cost estimate needs as applicable
- Support any lean action workouts to help improve cost position; as applicable

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited
- Previous experience with JCE process, or other project costing / proposal experience
- Graduate of Field Engineering Program, Operations Management Leadership Program or Commercial Management Leadership Program
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent Quality certification

Desired Characteristics:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred
- Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
- Six Sigma training is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
