Country Manager

Job description / Role

Linum Consult’s client are a multinational industrial group, well-established in Africa. They are urgently seeking a Country Manager with experience in the Oil & Gas or heavy industry sector to oversee the company’s business operations and commercial strategy within the Mediterranean Sea,. This position will be based in Cairo.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing all operations in Egypt, Libya, Cyprus, Tunisia, Morocco, and Greece, encompassing the commercial, technical, operational, financial, and compliance functions
• Leading the Egyptian branch as part of a multi-functional organisation, covering pipe and services sales, technical sales, operations, HR, finance, administration, QHSE, and legal compliance
• Developing and executing sales strategies for Oil & Gas products, services, innovations, and accessories to meet annual targets and Sales & Operations Planning forecasts
• Establishing and implementing customer visit plans to drive engagement and sales performance
• Overseeing the execution of goods contracts and services contracts
• Managing the country-level profit & loss, budgeting, invoicing, cash collection, and financial reporting
• Leading, growing, and retaining a competent and sustainable local team
• Promoting cross-country collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the group

PROFILE

• At least 10-15 years’ experience in Sales, with the last 5 years at Sales Director level
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent, Engineering, or similar subject is essential
• Must have previous experience within the Oil & Gas or heavy industry sectors
• Very strong team management skills, with a proven track record in a regional/country management role
• Fluent in spoken and written English, ideally with French, Arabic, or Portuguese language skills
• Previous experience in the Mediterranean geographic area is preferable
