Job description / Role
About the role
- Supports Customer Pre-Sales and Post-Sales project & Bid teams in order to identify and address sourcing needs & constraints across Customer Project phases.
- Is accountable in front of project team for all sourcing deliverables (timely delivery, quality & competitiveness) in his/her scope of responsibilities, as per engagement model
- Builds, validates and executes the project sourcing action plan (depending project phase) per commodity and supplier taking into consideration project constraints, buyers & commodity inputs, relevant tools and guidelines
- Contributes to cost and specification optimization
- Negotiates directly or through delegated buyer specific terms & conditions (including intellectual property, project deliverables, penalties, SLAs) on top of existing contracts when relevant.
- Communicates and promotes usage of selected suppliers and negotiated contracts amongst project teams.
- Informs management proactively about potential issues.
- Review and challenge quotation results and propose optimized solution.
- If required, fill all missing costs with budgetary price based on average & previous costs.
- Prepare Spend summary on time for Solution review inputs and update as renegotiations are progressing for different reviews (Commercial review, IC, etc...)
- Identify partners with trustworthy suppliers and partners and set regional partnership agreements
- Report projects in reporting tool
- Secure conditions( b2b with suppliers) & implement appropriate contracts
- Achieve Individual /regional saving opportunities

- Project qualification :understanding essence of the project and identify main risks quickly
- Ability to understand liability , risks , P&L expectations , price revision clauses & general legal clauses to engage with suppliers
- Ability to draft and negotiate a contract
- Understand market dynamics and business orientation
- Strong negotiation skills
- Analytical skills and problem solver
- High sense of ownership and time management
- Ability to communicate at different levels
- Ability to learn new skills and technologies
- Good written & spoke English
- French is a plus
