Orange Reporting and Analytics (ORA) is a new digital reporting platform designed to enhance the experience of Orange Business customers. Developed using SAFe methodology, ORA offers advanced analytics capabilities that go beyond traditional contractual reporting.
This innovative solution addresses customer needs by providing more comprehensive, visually appealing, accurate, accessible, and reliable reports. ORA will deliver greater value to customers by meeting their evolving expectations for reporting.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As a data Engineer in our Agile project team , you will collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, tech lead, and partner teams. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports data analysis and machine learning initiatives. You will also be responsible in ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and ready for use by data scientists and analysts.
In an Agile context, you will perform the following tasks:
Data Ingestion and Extraction:
- Identifying and understanding diverse data sources, such as databases, APIs, cloud storage, and real-time streams.
- Developing efficient methods to extract data from these sources, using tools like ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines or real-time streaming technologies.
Data Transformation and Cleaning:
- Identifying and correcting data quality issues, including missing values, inconsistencies, and outliers.
- Applying data transformations to structure and format data for analysis, such as normalization, aggregation, and feature engineering.
Data Storage and Management:
- Designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes to store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Managing and optimizing database systems, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security.
- Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data, complying with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Data Pipeline Development:
- Designing and building data pipelines to automate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
- Implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to move data between systems.
- Developing real-time data processing pipelines using technologies like Apache Kafka or Apache Spark Streaming.
Data Infrastructure and Tools:
- Using tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Flink to process and analyze large datasets.
- Collaborating with data analysts and scientists to visualize data insights using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries.
Requirements:
Functional Profile:
- Teamwork: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Adaptability: Quick learner and adaptable to new technologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Bilingual: Fluent in both French and English.
Technical Profile:
You have a strong background in data engineering and are proficient in the following frameworks, systems, and technologies:
- Operating systems: Linux, Unix, Windows.
- Bigdata processing & analysis : Spark/Scala
- Bigdata framework : Hadoop
- Data-visualization tools : Qlikview/Qliksense, MS PowerBI, Kibana, Business Objects
- ETL : Talend, AB initio
- DBMS : Oracle, Postgre, MS SQL, MS cubes(Tabular, multi dimension)
- Languages : SQL and PL/SQL
- Cloud & container : Docker
- Deployment : Ansible, Jenkis
- Supervision : ElasticSearch, Logstach, Kibana
In addition to the following :
- Agility: You embrace agile methodologies and are proficient in collaborative tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Communication: You can effectively present innovative solutions, argue your points, and persuade others.
- Customer focus: You are skilled at listening to clients and their users, understanding their needs, and translating them into software requirements and solutions.
- Technical knowledge: Experience in the networking and telecommunications field is a valuable asset.
Educational background:
- B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent
Professional Experience:
- 7+ Years work Experience in a similar position
