Robusta is a tech agency working with a diverse client base across different sectors and industries on implementing digital transformation programs. Engagements are typically focused on digitization of existing operations and processes and/or activation of digital customer engagement channels. With a team of 100+ tech and market consultants, Robusta maintains an impactful footprint across EMEA and engages with its clients through its two key operations hubs in Egypt and Germany. You will be working with our partner Hyperone.

Job overview

Responsible for overseeing Hyperone’s digital business fulfilment and delivery, managing the end-to-end operations across multiple functions. This includes operations planning, quality control, demand planning, store operations, inventory management, fulfilment, and last-mile delivery to ensure efficient and seamless digital operations. Leads a structure of 10 direct reports and a total team of 200+ members, driving operational excellence and continuous process improvement. Plays a key role in aligning operational performance with the company’s digital growth strategy and customer satisfaction goals.

Job responsibilities

  • Set operations strategy for Hyperone digital business for superb customer experience enabling overall business growth
  • Envision and enable his/her operations team to deliver annual compelling operations results
  • Achieve annual cost saving targets through innovation, digitization, and automation
  • Keep out-of-stock (OOS) to minimal to enable business growth and customers' satisfaction
  • Deliver the service level (on-time delivery) agreed with Hyperone's digital business steering committee
  • Increase fulfilment rate month over month as per agreed targets
  • Lower cancellation rate month over month as per agreed targets related operations
  • Agree on annual rebates/incentive programs with top vendors to enhance gross margin through annual contracts
  • Collaborate with e-commerce commercial team to enable better operations planning
  • Develop and maintain quality standards through SOPs across all fulfilment centers and their related last miles
  • Review P&L on a monthly basis and find opportunities for growth whether through new revenue streams or less cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Report to e-commerce director on monthly and quarterly basis detailed business results versus budgets and develop mitigation plans if needed

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of overall business experience, including at least 2–3 years in e-commerce operations or digital business management
  • Industry background: Experience in retail or grocery is mandatory
  • Marketplace knowledge: Familiarity with online marketplaces such as Amazon, Jumia, Noon, or similar platforms is preferred
  • Languages: Excellent command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing large teams and driving operational performance
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategies that optimize fulfilment, delivery, and customer experience
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners
  • Attention to detail: Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on process accuracy and quality
  • Resilience: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high performance standards
