Job description

Design integrated and highly technical solutions across compute, virtualization, and storage environments.

Engage with customers to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements for servers, compute platforms, virtualization, storage, and backup solutions.

Analyze customer environments and recommend tailored solutions, including server platforms, blade systems, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).

Lead solution design, architecture, and sizing activities for compute-related projects.

Prepare technical proposals, BOMs, compliance sheets, architecture diagrams, and presentations.

Present solutions to customers alongside the sales team, clearly communicating business value and technical differentiation.

Identify potential suppliers and recommend competitive pricing strategies.

Assist in solution positioning, pricing strategies, and responses to RFPs/RFQs in coordination with commercial and procurement teams.

Act as a technical advisor to both clients and internal sales teams in complex projects.

Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths and mitigate weaknesses of proposed solutions.

Create reports on technology trends and new solution opportunities.

Maintain relationships with vendor presales and product teams to stay current on roadmaps, certifications, and programs.

Review and validate project implementation plans for technical feasibility and alignment with proposed designs.

Participate in customer meetings and contribute to deal closure with technical leadership.

Support continuous improvement of the offerings portfolio by introducing new solutions and retiring outdated ones.

Share technical knowledge with the Account Management team to support lead identification and client engagement.

Technical skills

  • B.Sc. in Communications, Electrical Power, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 5+ years of presales experience or 3-5 years in the field plus 2-4 years in presales.
  • Strong pre-sales technical expertise.
  • Strong experience in pre-sales solution design across compute, virtualization, storage, and backup domains.
  • Hands-on knowledge of VMware technologies (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vCenter).
  • Good understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Familiar with infrastructure solutions from Dell Technologies, HPE, Cisco UCS, Lenovo, Nutanix, VMware, Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, and Cohesity.
  • Proficient in server hardware platforms (rack, blade, converged/hyperconverged systems).
