Job description / Role
Guildhall is supporting an internationally renowned engineering company in identifying a top tier General Manager for their Operations in Cairo, Egypt.
The role:
- The GM must assist the Managing Director with the successful delivery of projects
- Manage key aspects of design, construction and interface performance to increase and promote efficiency
- Ensure all design, construction, M&E, ITS, Tolling and interface plans are fully developed and implemented
- Establish a plan identifying the works to be performed by the Operations Contractor and works to be performed by subcontractors
- Prepare the organisation for the site operations and arrange mobilisation
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the delivery of large-scale operation projects, with demonstrated experience in major construction projects
- Experienced working for a Main Contractor or PMC
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, management, construction or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years’ senior management experience in Engineering
- Financial management skills, including demonstrated success in reducing costs and meeting budgets
- Ability to manage numerous stakeholder groups across sensitive projects
- Commercial management and contractual experience
- 8+ years experience on international projects
