Main Job Purpose:

The Global Travel Services Manager is responsible for the execution of all travel service initiatives and strategies in the Unilever regions. The goal is to meet objectives in cost, quality and service levels. The incumbent of this role will be responsible for the Strategy, framework, development and management of the regional corporate travel program encompassing regional travel supplier contract monitoring, compliance to the policy, implementation/coordination of process improvements, reporting and the management of all Regional Travel Leads.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and administer Global Travel Policy allowing for cultural and regional differences with cross functional coordination as needed
- Monitor travel policy compliance and provide strategies to increase compliance
- Complete Global Travel Agency implementation or consolidation including program management, review, and analysis
- Oversight of the travel management company(ies) including all operational issues, SLAs, management reporting systems, and adherence to policy
- Develop, implement and manage all travel vendor relationships and programs (agency, air, hotel) ensuring compliance to service level agreements
- Must have strong ability to use various automated travel technology tools including travel management reporting tools and self- booking tools
- Lead a global team to design, review, analyze, select, and implement the global strategies accordingly in the regions
- Identify savings opportunities and service enhancements, initiate process improvements and deployment of benchmarking-generated best practices
- Benchmark, analyze, monitor, and report on travel expenditures and compliance
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports for corporate travel expenditures in close collaboration with the Reporting Lead
- Provides strategic and tactical input to the development of global travel policy and procedures
- Monitor travel policy compliance and provide strategies to increase compliance

Requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- 8+ years of experience in similar field
- Knowledge of global travel industry and operations and exposure to Travel Global contract management
- Experience in Line Management and in Service Management (min. 5 years)
- Ability to draw strategic insight from analysis, and to effectively summarize and present insight based on the needs of the audience
- Demonstrated project management skills, project planning, scheduling and tracking
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across functions, organizations and suppliers/vendors.
