Overview

The KnowledgeLink Researcher will be responsible for addressing research and knowledge management queries. Acting as a knowledge broker, he/she will help Advisory Partners and practitioners locate the information they need to do their work. "KnowledgeLink" is the PwC research desk serving EMEA firms. The KnowledgeLink Researcher, as part of the KnowledgeLink helpdesk team and assigned responsibility for servicing PwC EMEA will research, analyse and collate information from external third-party providers and internal resources, to meet specific business requirements.

The position reports to the KnowledgeLink Manager in Egypt for the daily work and to the EMEA KnowledgeLink Head for KPIs, feedback quality assessment and access to 3 rd party content.

Responsibilities

Knowledge Solutions

Main responsibility:

- Provide support to PwC EMEA-based Advisory partners and practitioners, answering enquiries received via ServiceNow and acting as knowledge broker connecting staff to appropriate experts and internal/external information sources; the main services include: Company Analysis, Industry Analysis, Country Analysis, Risk Snapshot, Company Briefing Book, Target Lists, IPO Scan and Snapshot, M&A Scan and Snapshot, Market News alerts ("Pulse"), Analyst reports and more.
- Manage query tracking on the KnowledgeLink database and feedback generated, ensuring that all questions are answered according to service level agreements and within agreed timescales.
- Contribute to developing marketing and communications materials to promote knowledge and collaboration resources in EMEA.

Network Building:
- Network with the KnowledgeLink teams located in Romania, Poland, and India.
- Network with the local and regional Research and Knowledge & collaboration community.

Marketing & Communication:
- Support KnowledgeLink Manager in promoting KnowledgeLink in EMEA region.
- Actively involved in promoting KnowledgeLink via PwC communication channels.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- IT literate: Proficient in standard PwC desktop environment with the ability to grasp new technologies quickly.
- Internet/intranet technologies knowledge and experience, particularly in the use of on-line search tools and research sources.

PwC knowledge:
- Knowledge of PwC knowledge and collaboration resources is desirable.

Requirements

Research and analytical skills:
- Experience of researching and analysing data in response to complex queries, including use of external on-line information sources.

Efficiency orientation:
- Able to understand and act quickly on requests for assistance.
- Quickly able to gain knowledge and understanding of new and unfamiliar fields.

Self-motivated:
- Capable of working both independently and in a team.
- Drive and willingness to add value to requests from practitioners.

Organisational skills:
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and prioritise competing requests.
- Good judgement, flexibility and resourcefulness.

Virtual communication skills:
- Capability and/or experience in working almost completely in a virtual network/environment.

Language skills:
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
- English is mandatory: other languages would be an advantage.
- Especially able to synthesize information and write concise summaries of research results.
