Job Summary

The Intelligent Transportation Systems Specialist - Transportation Planning is responsible for preparation of the design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for road projects and multi-modal transportation planning projects for all transport sectors globally in K&A. The The jobholder will be responsible for being an Intelligent Transportation Systems Specialist on planning projects, as well as developing capabilities in the design center. The jobholder shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the Intelligent Transportation Systems area and represent the firm as a specialist in the professional engineering communities and international forums.

Requirements

Job Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Science is preferred
- 10+ years of industry experience in Engineering, Transportation Planning and Intelligent Transportation Systems design
- 10+ years of experience in Transportation Planning and Intelligent Transportation Systems design in a position at a design, engineering and project management consultancy firm
- Strong experience and track record in dealing with large and complex transport projects including multi-modal Transportation Planning projects
- General experience in coordinating with other engineering disciplines typically involved in Intelligent Transportation Systems and Transportation Planning projects
- Exposure to global best practices and trends in Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems industry
- Significant industry experience within the Middle East is preferred
- In depth knowledge of the Transportation Planning industry and Intelligent Transportation Systems
- Sound knowledge of Transportation Planning and Intelligent Transportation Systems regulations and design requirements
- Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
- Marketing and sales skills and track record in developing relationships with customers
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic
